When experiencing a burning sensation on the skin: Place a cool compress on the affected area and avoid the sun for the time being.
Preferably, use a cold and wet towel for 10 to 15 minutes, several times a day. Remember to be gently dab and do not rub over the surface as it will cause friction to the skin. Alternatively, you can try taking a cool shower to alleviate the pain.

Generally, it should only be applied when the burn is starting to reach the dry and itchy state. For a simple home remedy, aloe gel would be a good option as it is able to stop inflammation and pain thanks to its active compounds. For more severe cases, a doctor’s prescription would be recommended.
